Atletico Madrid beat their guest Las Palmas 2-0 today, Sunday, in the 12th round of the Spanish Football League, La Liga.
Giuliano Simeone, son of Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone, scored the first goal for "Rojiblancos" in the 37th minute, before his teammate Alex Sorloth added the second goal, assisted by Rodrigo de Paul, in the 83rd minute.
Atletico Madrid raised its score to 23 points in third place in the "La Liga" standings, while Las Palmas' score froze at nine points in 18th place.
Atletico is preparing to play a difficult match against its host Paris Saint-Germain next Wednesday in the fourth round of the league stage in the Champions League.
