Norwegian Martin Odegaard, Arsenal midfielder, has made the front pages despite being out of action for several weeks due to injury. Odegaard has been absent from Arsenal's matches since the Brighton match on August 31 in the English Premier League.
British media "The Sun" revealed news about Odegaard's secret marriage to his girlfriend, dancer Helen Spelling.
Odegaard (25 years old) officially announced his relationship with the dancer, who is two years older than him, via his Instagram account. According to Norwegian press reports, Odegaard changed his marital status in the national records to married, and Helen also updated her name to Helen Spelling Odegaard.
Helen announced last August with Odegaard that they were expecting their first child. Spelling, a professional dancer, won 17 gold medals in the Norwegian national championship, and established her own dance studio and launched a fashion brand.
The Gunners captain wants to keep his private life behind closed doors.
Odegaard is currently sidelined with an ankle injury but has recently returned to training and could be in contention for Wednesday's clash with Inter Milan.
