Where will Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool winger, play next season? That is the question of the time, amid reports of multiple clubs looking to sign the English team's top scorer for free. Salah's contract with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2025, and he has not yet reached an agreement with the English club to renew.
Previous press reports indicated that Barcelona is heading to sign Salah for free next summer.
However, the Mercato expert, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, said in this regard via his Facebook account: "Barcelona is not working on a Mohamed Salah deal, despite the widespread rumors."
He continued: "Barcelona's plan focuses on chasing younger players."
Salah is 32 years old, and will turn 33 next June, coinciding with the expiration of his current contract.
Press reports had spoken of Barcelona's desire to sign another Egyptian international, Omar Marmoush, the Eintracht Frankfurt star, after the end of the current season.
