Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher continued his social media drama towards Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool legend. Mohamed Salah led his team Liverpool to victory over Manchester City (2-0), by creating the first goal and scoring the second himself, in the thirteenth round of the English Premier League on Sunday.
In the post match interview conducted with Salah and teammate Virgil van Dijk by "Sky Sports" , Virgil asked the reporter during about the pundit which chose Salah to be the man of the match, to which the reporter replied: "Gary Neville", and Van Dijk commented to the Egyptian star after giving him the award, saying: "Congratulations, I'm surprised that Carragher won't give it to you."
Salah replied to Van Dijk: "No, he (Carragher) will never give it to me, he will never give it to me.. I don't want to talk about this," before the interview ended.
In turn, Carragher wrote on his account on the "X" website after re-posting the video of the interview: "I would have given it to Virgil van Dijk to be fair," adding fuel to the fire. Carragher had previously criticized Salah in recent days after the Egyptian star came out to express his disappointment at not renewing his contract so far, as the former Liverpool defender confirmed that it came before crucial matches against Real Madrid in the Champions League and Manchester City in the English Premier League.
