Press reports revealed dramatic developments regarding the future of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah with Liverpool, who has been stalling on renewing the contract of the prolific scorer.
Salah has made controversial statements recently due to Liverpool not making any offers to renew his contract, which expires in the summer of 2025.
The Liverpool club management refuses to extend for more than a year, with any player over the age of 30, for fear of a decline in his level or lack of fitness, and Mohamed Salah is currently 32 years old. On the other hand, the Egyptian star is reportedly insisting on renewing for two seasons and with the same current salary of 350 thousand pounds, according to press reports.
British media reported that Mohamed Salah has decided to give up and is now accepting the idea of renewing his contract for one season with Liverpool, but he is increasingly angry with the club's handling of the negotiations, as if they were "twisting his arm".
It is worth noting that Salah has not negotiated with any club yet, but he has the right to negotiate starting next January, as his contract will end next summer.
