Liverpool, the current leader of the English Premier League, has reportedly made a serious offer to convince English defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold, to stay at "Anfield". Trent Alexander-Arnold's (26 years old) contract with Liverpool ends in the summer of 2025, which he means he can now sign for free with any team. The name of the English right-back has been frequently linked in recent months with a move to Real Madrid.
According to British media, Liverpool are working hard towards renewing Arnold's contract and has made a big offer for 5 years, including a total salary of $100 million, equivalent to $20 million annually.
Notably, the big difference between the offers of Real Madrid and Liverpool is that Arnold will receive a direct signing bonus if he decides to move to the Spanish champions.
According to the reports, if Arnold accepts Liverpool's offer, he will become the second highest-paid player on the team, after Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, and before other important players such as Dutch captain Virgil van Dijk.
