Nico Williams is expected to miss his team Athletic Bilbao's match against Barcelona , Wednesday, in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup due to injury.
The 22-year-old Spanish international winger missed the Basque team's last training session, which took place , Tuesday, at the reserve stadium of "King Abdullah Sports City" in Jeddah.
Athletic Bilbao revealed through its official account on the "X" platform that Williams suffered an injury to his left ankle, adding that more tests will be conducted to determine the extent of the injury.
Saudi Arabia is hosting the Spanish Super Cup matches, as Athletic Bilbao's match against Barcelona in the first semi-final will be held at "King Abdullah Sports City" stadium in Jeddah, and the same stadium will host the match between Real Madrid and Real Mallorca, Thursday, in the second semi-final.
