Florentino Perez elected Real Madrid President until 2029

Florentino Perez, Real Madrid president, has won a new term in office until 2029. According to Real Madrid's electoral body, the 77-year-old won the elections by acclamation, given that there was no other candidate running for the position.

Real Madrid said in an official statement: "Given that there is only one candidate... (Perez) is announced as Real Madrid president." The announcement came hours after Real Madrid's big win over its guest Las Palmas 4-1 in the twentieth round of the league and regained the lead.

Perez has not faced any opposition in 4 previous elections (2013, 2017, 2021 and 2025) since his return to the club in 2009 for a second term at the helm.

In addition to Perez, Real Madrid's new board of directors includes 4 vice presidents, a secretary, and 13 members (4 of whom are new).

This is Perez's seventh term as president of Real Madrid, and he will celebrate 25 years in office next summer.

Perez is one of the most prominent presidents in the history of the Royal Club, having achieved many major accomplishments at the local and international levels.

During the term of President Perez, the engineer and businessman from Madrid, which began in 2000, Real Madrid won 37 football titles and 28 basketball titles.
