Press reports revealed that Barcelona is close to signing Manchester United player Marcus Rashford during the current winter transfer period. Rashford has been expected to leave Manchester United since coach Ruben Amorim excluded him from the team's lineup against Manchester City and the matches that followed.
According to the Spanish media, Barcelona has reached an agreement with Rashford on the personal terms of his transfer to the Catalan team. The Spanish club is working to complete the deal by loaning the player until the end of the current season.
Barcelona plans to pay Manchester United 9 million euros, while the latter will cover part of the player's salary, which amounts to 18 million euros annually. It is worth noting that Barcelona needs to get rid of one of its players to make room for Rashford's registration, and it is expected that the closest to leaving "Barca" will be Eric Garcia.
Rashford has scored 138 goals in 426 appearances since making his first-team debut in 2016 and has won the Europa League, two FA Cups and two League Cups.
