The AC Milan and Parma match in the 22nd round of the Italian League witnessed a heated verbal altercation between the Portuguese coach of the "Rossoneri" Sergio Conceicao and the team captain Davide Calabria after the final whistle. The altercation began immediately after the end of the match, where Conceicao was seen running towards Calabria and shouting at him, which required the players to intervene to separate the two parties.

One of the players pulled Calabria away from the coach, while Youssef Fofana intervened to move Conceicao away from the cameras.

The direct cause of the altercation was not revealed, but it came after Conceicao replaced Calabria in the 77th minute and brought on Luka Jovic instead.

Conceicao explained in later statements that the altercation was the result of "the adrenaline and excitement that accompanies sports", confirming that the matter was settled later.

"Sometimes you act like you're dealing with your children, if they misbehave, you have to say something. I'm a straightforward person, and the players know that," he added.

The match ended with Milan winning 3-2 after a thrilling comeback in stoppage time.

With this win, Milan reached 34 points and jumped to sixth place in the Italian league table, while Parma's balance froze at 20 points in 17th place.
