The draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals, which was held on Monday evening at the Mohammed V National Theater in the Moroccan city of Rabat, yielded exciting confrontations. 24 teams are participating in the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, which Morocco will host from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026, with the participation of 24 teams from the African continent.
The 24 teams participating in the tournament are distributed into 6 groups, each group includes four teams, and the teams were determined according to the four levels, as each group includes a team from each level, with the champion and runner-up of each group qualifying for the round of 16 in addition to the best 4 teams that occupy third place among the groups, according to the tournament system.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) revealed the classification of the 24 qualified teams, on the basis of which the tournament draw will be drawn, as the teams were divided into four levels As follows:
First level: Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Ivory Coast.
Second level: Cameroon, Mali, Tunisia, South Africa, DR Congo, Burkina Faso.
Third level: Gabon, Angola, Zambia, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea, Benin.
Fourth level: Mozambique, Comoros, Tanzania, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Botswana.
Group A: Morocco - Mali - Zambia - Comoros.
Group B: Egypt - South Africa - Angola - Zimbabwe.
Group C: Nigeria - Tunisia - Uganda - Tanzania.
Group D: Senegal - DR Congo - Benin - Botswana
Group E: Algeria - Burkina Faso - Equatorial Guinea - Sudan.
Group F: Ivory Coast - Cameroon - Gabon - Mozambique.
