Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo announced his "desire" to participate in the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States of America, along with Mexico and Canada. Ronaldo, 40, said in statements to "Canal 11": "I live the moment.. If you ask me if I want to play in the World Cup?; I will answer (yes) of course."
The Portuguese legend added: "But there is still a year and a half before the 2026 World Cup.. If I am in good health and in good physical and mental condition, and the coach wants to help me, I am ready to participate and be a source of strength for the team."
The legend Cristiano Ronaldo, striker at Al-Nasr Club Saudi Arabia, denied his "obsession" with winning the World Cup title, as some say. Ronaldo stressed that he has achieved everything in his football career, so he does not feel that he is missing the World Cup title, saying: "Let people talk about what they want, but I have already achieved my dream with the Portuguese national team."
The Portuguese legend expressed his great pride in "winning" the European Cup and the European Nations League titles, which do not make him miss winning the World Cup.
Cristiano concluded his statements in this part, saying that he would be happy to win the World Cup title, of course, but he does not need it to feel proud.
If Ronaldo participates in the next World Cup, it will be the sixth, and he is already the only player in history to score in 5 consecutive world cups.
