French striker Karim Benzema of Saudi Al-Ittihad confirmed that he is 'not interested' in competing with Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al-Nasr, for the Golden Boot award in the Saudi League. Benzema scored a goal that led Al-Ittihad to a 4-1 victory over Al-Wehda last Saturday, raising his tally to 15 goals, placing him second in the Saudi League's top scorers table, one goal behind Cristiano Ronaldo.
Benzema spoke to reporters about the great support from his team's fans in order to achieve victories, stressing that all matches are important, whether playing against Al-Hilal or any other competitor.

It is noteworthy that Ronaldo and Benzema played for Real Madrid and this duo contributed to achieving many titles for the Spanish giant, most notably retaining the Champions League title for 3 consecutive editions in 2016-2017-2018. Ronaldo joined Al-Nasr in January 2023 after terminating his contract by mutual consent with Manchester United in November 2022, while Benzema moved to Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023 after the end of his contract with Real Madrid.
