Brazilian star Neymar scored a world-class goal and provided 2 assists for his team Santos in a match against Inter de Limeira in the last round of the group stage of the local Paulista Championship. The former Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Al-Hilal player scored an "Olympico" directly from a corner kick with great skill as it hit the far post before entering the net of the Inter de Limeira goalkeeper in the 27th minute of a match held on Monday.
After receiving jeers while approaching the corner spot, Neymar put his hands over his ears, asked the fans to raise the volume of the whistle, then shot the ball into the net, as the screams of the happy Santos fans rose while the whistles disappeared. Instead of running to celebrate with his teammates, Neymar sat on a nearby advertising board, crossed his arms and nodded his shoulders.
This is the 33-year-old's second goal for Santos since returning to his country after terminating his contract with Al Hilal, with whom he barely played 7 matches over 17 months due to a serious knee injury.
This is Neymar's sixth appearance with his childhood team since returning to it after a failed experience with Al Hilal Saudi Arabia, and he has so far scored two goals that have prompted Santos fans, who were delighted by the Brazilian star's 136 goals between 2009-2013, to sing his praises.
Santos celebrated this goal on his social media accounts, saying: "There are not enough words to describe the Olympico goal scored by Neymar, beyond imagination, what a historic goal."
