Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool player, continues to lead the European Golden Boot race, after reaching 25 goals in the English Premier League. Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski managed to advance to second place with 21 goals, after scoring a goal for his team in the big win over Real Sociedad 4-0, and Harry Kane (Bayern Munich) and Matteo Retegui (Atalanta) are tied with him with the same goal tally, although they did not succeed in enhancing their numbers during the matches of the last round.
The Golden Boot award in Europe depends on the number of goals scored only in the national leagues, excluding other competitions, whether local or continental cups.
