Barcelona will be a heavy guest on Benfica this evening, Wednesday, at the Estadio Da Luz in the first leg of the round of 16 of the European Champions League. Barcelona qualified directly to the round of 16 of the European Champions League after coming second place behind Liverpool, while Benfica needed to go through the play-off stage where it qualified at the expense of the French team Monaco.
The winner of Barcelona and Benfica will face the winner of the clash between Borussia Dortmund and Lille in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Barcelona previously faced its opponent Benfica in the same stadium in the league stage of the current season of the tournament, where it achieved a thrilling 5-4 comeback.
