Englishman Kyle Walker has made the headlines after his team Milan's 2-1 victory over visiting Como on Saturday evening, in the 29th round of the Italian Football League, Series A. The end of the match, which took place at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on the outskirts of San Siro in Milan, witnessed a controversial refereeing incident.
Referee Matteo Marchetti showed a yellow card to Englishman Dele Alli of Como for excessive roughness against Englishman Ruben Loftus-Cheek of Milan. However, after reviewing the incident via video assistant referee (VAR), the referee decided to overturn the yellow card and instead show a red card to Dele Alli.
Kyle Walker, 34, tried to dissuade referee Matteo Marchetti from sending off the opposing player, but to no avail, according to a clip circulating on social media. It's worth noting that Kyle Walker, the former Manchester City captain, also played alongside his compatriot Dele Alli for Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team.
