The Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 will open an additional transfer window from June 1 to June 10 in preparation for the FIFA Club World Cup, the German Football League (DFL) announced on Tuesday.
FIFA has granted member associations with participating clubs the option to implement an “exceptional registration window” ahead of the tournament, allowing teams to make squad adjustments before the competition begins.
The expanded 32-team Club World Cup is set to take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13, with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich representing the Bundesliga in the inaugural edition of the revamped tournament.
