Real Madrid qualified for the Copa del Rey final after a thrilling 4-4 draw with Real Sociedad in the second leg of the semi-final on Tuesday at the Santiago Bernabéu. Real Sociedad took the lead through Ander Barrenetxea in the 16th minute, but Endrick quickly retaliated with a sublime display of talent, scoring Real Madrid's equalizer, assisted by Vinicius Junior, in the 30th minute.
In the 72nd minute, Real Sociedad took the lead again with an own goal from Real Madrid defender David Alaba.
The Basque team then extended their lead with a third goal, a shot from Mikel Oyarrazbal that deflected off Alaba and went into the net in the 80th minute.
In the 82nd minute, Jude Bellingham reduced the deficit for Real Madrid after a brilliant pass from Vinicius. Aurelien Tchouameni then headed the third goal for the Whites in the 86th minute, following a corner kick.
As the game was drawing to a close, specifically in the third minute of stoppage time, Real Sociedad scored the fourth goal (4-3) through Mikel Oyarrazbal, who headed a cross into the net.
The match was decided after extra time, with Real Madrid having won the first leg 1-0.
In the second period of extra time, German Antonio Rüdiger scored the decisive equalizer (4-4) in the 114th minute with a header from Arda Güler's corner kick, securing Real Madrid's place in the final. Real Madrid will now await the winner of Wednesday's semi-final second leg between Atlético Madrid and Barcelona, with the first leg ending in a thrilling 4-4 draw.
The Copa del Rey final is scheduled for April 26 at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville.
