Paris Saint-Germain qualified for the Champions League semi-finals despite a 3-2 defeat to hosts Aston Villa in the second leg of the quarter-finals on Tuesday. In the second half, the English team continued to press, with John McGinn equalizing in the 55th minute with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area.
Aston Villa's attacking momentum continued, as Ezri Konsa added the third goal in the 58th minute after a perfect pass from English star Marcus Rashford, who skillfully dribbled past the Paris defense before passing the ball to his teammate. Despite Aston Villa's thrilling victory, the first leg, which ended in a 3-1 victory for Paris Saint-Germain, gave the French team a 5-4 aggregate lead, securing their place in the Champions League semi-finals.
Paris Saint-Germain will now await the winner of the highly anticipated clash between Real Madrid and Arsenal on Wednesday.
