Manchester City snatched a valuable and thrilling 2-1 victory over visiting Aston Villa in the dying moments of the match on Tuesday evening, in the 34th round of the English Premier League. Portuguese player Bernardo Silva opened the scoring for the home side early, just seven minutes after the start of the match.
English striker Marcus Rashford quickly equalized from the penalty spot in the 18th minute.
Then, Portuguese midfielder, Matheus Nunes, snatched the winning goal for City in the dying moments of the match at the Etihad Stadium.
Failing title holders Manchester City achieved their third consecutive victory, raising their tally to 61 points and moving up to third place in the Premier League standings.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa suffered their first defeat after five consecutive wins, leaving them with 57 points and remaining in seventh place in the standings.
