Chelsea FC has reached the final of the 2025 Club World Cup currently being held in the United States, after defeating Brazilian side Fluminense 2-0 in a thrilling semi-final.
Chelsea will face the winner of the highly anticipated match between Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the final, scheduled for next Sunday.
Brazilian star Joao Pedro scored twice to lead the Blues to the final under the leadership of their Italian coach Enzo Maresca, who aspires to lead the team to the title of the first 32-team World Cup.
Chelsea's achievement was not limited to sporting matters; it also extended to significant financial gains.
According to FIFA, the team's qualification to the final guarantees a financial reward of £22 million.
This brings the London club's total earnings since the start of the tournament to £82 million, having previously earned £60 million from qualifying for the later stages.
