England defender Kyle Walker-Peters has officially joined West Ham United on a free transfer, signing a three-year deal following his departure from Southampton.
The 28-year-old full-back, a product of the Tottenham Hotspur academy, made over 200 appearances for Southampton, including 33 in the Premier League last season as the Saints suffered a historically early relegation from the top flight.
Capped twice by England in 2022, Walker-Peters had previously been linked with a move to the Hammers.
Now, he's finally made the switch to east London.
“It feels like it’s been a long time coming,” Walker-Peters said.
“I’ve been linked with West Ham before, so I’m really happy to be here now.”
He credited manager Graham Potter as a key influence in his decision.
“I spoke to Graham and he was a huge factor,” Walker-Peters added.
“I’ve always admired his coaching style and I think it suits my game.”
West Ham, who ended last season in 14th place, will kick off their 2025–26 Premier League campaign away to newly promoted Sunderland on August 16.
