Bournemouth Secure Morocco Winger Amine Adli on Five-Year Deal from Bayer Leverkusen

Bournemouth have completed the signing of Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year contract, as the club continues its recruitment drive to offset the loss of several key players this summer.

While the fee was not officially disclosed, British media reports suggest the 25-year-old Morocco international joined for around £25m.

Adli becomes Bournemouth’s latest high-profile arrival following the acquisitions of Ben Gannon-Doak, Adrien Truffert, Đorđe Petrović, and Bafodé Diakité. His addition comes after the departures of Dean Huijsen (Real Madrid), Milos Kerkez (Liverpool), and Illia Zabarnyi (Paris Saint-Germain), underlining the Cherries’ need to reinforce their squad with proven top-level talent.

Proven Record in Germany

Adli began his professional career at Toulouse before joining Leverkusen in 2021. Over three seasons in Germany, he amassed 23 goals and 25 assists in 143 appearances, playing a pivotal role in Leverkusen’s historic undefeated Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double in 2023–24.

Known for his versatility across the front line, Adli offers pace, creativity, and direct attacking threat. His experience at the highest level of European competition makes him a valuable addition for Bournemouth, particularly as they seek to remain competitive against the Premier League’s top sides.

Club Ambition and Strategic Fit

“Amine is a proven winner and someone that will be a real asset to our squad,” said Tiago Pinto, Bournemouth’s President of Football Operations. “He has competed at the highest level, and his ambition is very much aligned with ours.”

Adli’s signing reflects Bournemouth’s broader strategy of blending youth with established international talent. At 6ft, he also continues a trend in the club’s recruitment toward physically strong yet technically capable players, a profile that manager Andoni Iraola has consistently sought.

What Comes Next

Adli is expected to link up with his new teammates ahead of Saturday’s Premier League home fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Bournemouth, who finished ninth last season, opened their 2025–26 campaign with a 4-2 defeat to reigning champions Liverpool, highlighting both their attacking potential and defensive vulnerabilities.

The addition of Adli provides Iraola with an extra dimension in attack as the club looks to build on last season’s top-half finish while integrating a new generation of signings into the squad.
