Adidas has unveiled the official match balls for the league phase of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Women’s Champions League, set to debut on 27 August.
The designs celebrate the "stars of the game" and their journeys to the finals in Budapest (UCL) and Oslo (UWCL) next May. Both versions draw inspiration from celestial themes: the men’s ball from the night sky, and the women’s from deep space and the northern lights.
Both versions feature the adidas Badge of Sport, along with their respective competition logos, reinforcing their identity as official symbols of Europe’s elite tournaments.
Beyond aesthetics, the 2025/26 match balls showcase significant performance and sustainability advancements:
This year’s iterations incorporate more bio-based materials than any previous UEFA Champions League or Women’s Champions League match balls. Layers include fibres from corn, sugar cane, wood pulp, and natural rubber, demonstrating adidas’ push toward environmentally responsible production without compromising performance.
Additionally, recycled polyester and water-based inks are used in the manufacturing process.
As part of adidas’ ongoing collaboration with Common Goal, one percent of global net sales from adidas footballs—including the new Champions League balls—will be directed toward initiatives supporting underserved communities worldwide. This commitment reflects the brand’s ambition to use football as a catalyst for social inclusion and positive change.
The new official match balls for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League and Women’s Champions League are now available through adidas stores, select retailers, and the adidas online platform.
