Liverpool continues its Premier League campaign with an early tough match against Arsenal today, Sunday, at Anfield, in the third round of the English Premier League. Defending champions Liverpool opened their campaign with a 4-2 win over visiting Bournemouth before securing a thrilling 3-2 victory in the final moments against visiting Newcastle United.
Liverpool is seeking a third consecutive victory to consolidate their lead at the top of the Premier League and halt the resurgence of Arsenal, who have settled for second place in the league table for the last three seasons.
Arsenal, for their part, defeated Manchester United 1-0 in the first round and secured a resounding 5-0 victory over Leeds United in the second round, leading to a an exciting early Premier League showdown between two of the Premier League favorites.
