French international star Kylian Mbappé, forward for the Spanish giants Real Madrid, revealed his personal favorite win the Ballon d'Or this year.
In an interview with the German newspaper Bild, Mbappé revealed that he voted for his compatriot Ousmane Dembélé to win the Ballon d'Or as the best player in the world this year. He added: "For me, he deserves it. I hope he wins. I supported him from the beginning, and that's normal. After that, we'll see what happens."
Regarding his friend Achraf Hakimi, he said: "It's not up to us. There were votes, and we'll see. I hope Hakimi finds his place as well. That would be great for the defensive players. Lamine Yamal is a very good player, but I can't say anything about Barcelona."
When asked if he was thinking about winning the Ballon d'Or, Mbappé replied: "It's on every player's mind. It's achieved through collective titles." "I'm not breaking any barriers. If I have a successful season and win titles, I want to win them too. We have to focus on helping my team and winning titles," he added.
