Argentine legend Lionel Messi, the star of Inter Miami, has set a new MLS record for the most games in which he has scored more than one goal in a single season. This came after Inter Miami's 4-0 victory over Atlanta United on Sunday, October 12, in the league, with Messi scoring two goals.
With this achievement, Messi has now scored two or more goals in nine games this season, breaking the previous record of eight, a record no player in the history of the league has surpassed.
The Argentine star had previously stated that he did not want to think about the end of his career at this time, saying: "I don't want all of this to end, but I know that day will come eventually. When it happens, it will happen. Until then, I will keep moving forward, day by day."
