Football Agent Arrested Following Alleged Gun Threat to Premier League Player

A football agent has been arrested after allegedly threatening a Premier League player with a firearm during an incident in London.

The confrontation reportedly occurred on 6 September, targeting a player in his twenties whose identity remains protected for legal reasons. Described by sources as a “horrendous ordeal,” the incident has left the player shaken, though no physical injuries were sustained. His club has been informed and is said to be offering support.

In addition to the player, another man was reportedly subjected to blackmail and threats by the same suspect during the same incident.

Police were alerted at approximately 23:14 BST after receiving reports of a firearm-related threat. The suspect, a 31-year-old man, was subsequently arrested on 8 September on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, blackmail, and driving without a licence.

He has since been released on bail pending further investigation.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
