European Club Preparing to Sign Mohamed Salah

6 December 2025

The debate continues surrounding the future of Egyptian international Mohamed Salah with Liverpool, amid increasing reports suggesting his possible departure in January.

Speculation is rife about Salah's future at Anfield, given his recent marginalization by manager Arne Slott, leading to rumors of a possible move in either the upcoming winter or summer transfer windows.

The English network "anfieldindex" reported, citing Turkish press reports, that a European club is ready to offer Mohamed Salah the opportunity to continue his career on the continent.

The report indicated that this club is Galatasaray, which has a strong interest in acquiring the 33-year-old star. Galatasaray has been assessing the feasibility of making a formal offer for several weeks, encouraged by Salah's recent absence from Liverpool's starting lineup and his declining form at Anfield. The report further stated that the Istanbul giants are preparing a lucrative contract offer, backed by commercial partners, reflecting their global stature and their ambition to elevate the team before the European knockout stages.

She emphasized that Galatasaray's interest in Mohamed Salah intensified after their Champions League match last September. The conditions for a potential transfer are Liverpool's willingness to negotiate, Galatasaray's ability to submit a formal offer in the region of £15 million, and Salah's readiness to embark on a new chapter in his career.

Galatasaray believes Liverpool is more open to negotiating Salah's departure than in previous years, and the deal's completion in January will ultimately hinge on three aligning conditions. Salah's contract with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2027, but his recent benching and dip in form could prompt him to consider leaving, amidst growing interest from Saudi Pro League clubs.
