Kevin Schade fired a hat-trick as Brentford powered past a flat Bournemouth side, extending the visitors’ miserable Premier League run and lifting the Bees into the top half of the table.
The comprehensive win moved Brentford up to eighth, while Bournemouth slipped to 15th and are now without a victory in nine league matches, a drought stretching back more than two months.
Schade set the tone inside seven minutes, muscling past Bafode Diakite before sliding a composed finish beyond Djordje Petrovic.
Brentford dominated the opening half and should have added to their lead sooner before a chaotic second goal arrived.
Igor Thiago’s effort was blocked by Marcos Senesi and Petrovic, only for Diakite’s attempted clearance to ricochet off his own goalkeeper and into the net.
Bournemouth showed more intent after half-time with the introductions of Evanilson, David Brooks and Justin Kluivert, but Brentford remained in control.
Schade struck again on the counter, turning in Yehor Yarmoliuk’s cross to make it 3-0.
Antoine Semenyo’s clever backheeled finish gave the visitors brief hope late on, but Schade completed his treble with a close-range header to cap a dominant display.
The result means Brentford have now beaten Bournemouth in their last five meetings in all competitions.
Despite a livelier second half from the Cherries, their defensive fragility was once again exposed, leaving Brentford comfortable winners and Bournemouth still searching for answers.
