Wolves have turned down a £33m offer from Leeds United for striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, with the proposal falling short of the club’s valuation.
The bid, submitted several days ago, was structured around an initial fee of approximately £33m, with a further £6m in performance-related add-ons. However, sources have indicated the offer does not meet Wolves’ £40m asking price for the Norway international.
While Wolves are open to selling Strand Larsen during the current transfer window, they are not actively pushing for his departure and would only sanction a move if their valuation is met. The club believe the striker still holds significant market value despite a difficult Premier League campaign.
Wolves currently sit bottom of the table and are planning a broader squad reset ahead of a likely relegation battle. Strand Larsen’s inconsistent form and a strained relationship with sections of the fanbase have placed his future in doubt, making an exit increasingly probable.
The 25-year-old initially joined from Celta Vigo on loan in 2024, scoring 14 goals last season before Wolves completed a permanent £23m move last summer. A recent FA Cup hat-trick against Shrewsbury took his tally to six goals this season, although just one of those has come in the league.
Strand Larsen’s value has previously been tested in the market, with Newcastle United failing with bids of £50m and £55m in August.
Interest remains strong this month, with Nottingham Forest, West Ham United and Crystal Palace all monitoring the situation.
Wolves are also open to selling defender Emmanuel Agbadou and are in discussions with Besiktas. The Turkish club’s latest offer stands at £13m, while Wolves are holding out for closer to £17m for the Ivory Coast international, who joined from Reims for £16.6m last January.
Meanwhile, midfielder Joao Gomes continues to attract interest from Napoli and Atletico Madrid, although Wolves have not ruled out keeping the Brazilian at Molineux until the end of the season.
