MASSIVE offer: How much is Mo Salah's expected salary in the Saudi League?

11 February 2026

Press reports indicate that Saudi League officials have made a tempting offer to Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool winger, in an attempt to entice him to join one of the top clubs next season.

The latest reports link Salah with a possible move to Al-Ittihad, the club from which Frenchman Karim Benzema departed during the 2016 winter transfer window to join Al-Hilal in a deal that sparked considerable controversy.

According to reports seen by the Stats Room, Al-Ittihad officials have already begun negotiations with Salah's agent to convince him to wear the "Tigers'" jersey.

According to reports, officials in the Saudi Professional League (SPL) are prepared to triple Mohamed Salah's salary compared to his current Liverpool earnings of approximately €460,000 per week (around €24 million annually). They are reportedly willing to offer him a salary that could reach €72 million per year, in an attempt to make him the new face of Saudi football. The report indicates that the option of moving to Saudi Arabia has long appealed to Salah, who reportedly desires to be the leading figure in the football project there in the twilight of his career, although his immediate priority has always been to perform at his best on the pitch.

The reports also states that if an agreement is reached with Al-Ittihad, Liverpool will ensure all details are finalized before Salah joins the Egyptian national team's training camp in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
