This will be the sixth encounter between Real Madrid and Manchester City in the knockout stages since the 2019-2020 season. Manchester City overturned a deficit to defeat Real Madrid 2-1 in La Liga this season, and the two teams will meet at the Santiago Bernabéu on March 10th or 11th before facing off at the Etihad Stadium on March 17th or 18th for the return leg.
Some Real Madrid players know Manchester City well, and it's believed that Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and German defender Antonio Rüdiger have faced the English side frequently in recent seasons.
