Milan overcome Torino and reclaims second place in Serie A

AC Milan reclaimed second place in the Serie A standings with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Torino on Saturday, in the 30th round of the competition. Serbian defender Stjaninja Pavlovic opened the scoring for Milan in the 37th minute, but Giovanni Simeone equalized for Torino just before halftime.

In the second half, French duo Adrien Rabiot and Youssouf Fofana scored two goals for Milan within two minutes (in the 54th and 55th minutes), before Nikola Vlašić pulled one back for Torino in the 83rd minute from the penalty spot.

Napoli had briefly held second place on Friday after a 1-0 win away to Cagliari, but Milan quickly regained the runner-up spot, bringing their points tally to 63, one point ahead of third-placed Napoli, and five points behind leaders Inter Milan, who play away to Fiorentina on Sunday.

As for Torino, their tally remains frozen at 33 points in 14th place.
