South Korea completed their World Cup preparations with a 1-0 victory over El Salvador on Wednesday, securing back-to-back friendly wins before the tournament begins next week.
Lee Dong-gyeong scored the decisive goal 10 minutes into the second half at South Korea's training base in Utah, curling a left-footed free-kick into the net to seal the win.
The result followed South Korea's impressive 5-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago last week, giving the squad a timely confidence boost ahead of their World Cup campaign.
Captain Son Heung-min started on the bench before being introduced five minutes after Lee's opener. The 33-year-old forward has faced questions over his form after scoring just twice for Los Angeles FC this season, but he responded with two goals against Trinidad and Tobago.
Those goals lifted Son's international tally to 56 in 144 appearances, leaving him two goals short of Cha Bum-kun's all-time South Korea record.
South Korea will compete in Group A alongside the Czech Republic, South Africa and co-hosts Mexico. They begin their World Cup campaign against the Czech Republic in Guadalajara on 11 June.
