Fenerbahce Complete Nathan Ake Signing from Manchester City

Fenerbahce have completed the signing of Netherlands defender Nathan Ake from Manchester City in a deal that could rise to £8.5m.

The Turkish giants have agreed to pay around £7m up front, with further add-ons included in the agreement.

Ake, 31, leaves City after six successful years at the Etihad Stadium.

During his time at the club, he won four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two League Cups and the Champions League.

The defender also featured three times for the Netherlands at the 2026 World Cup before they were knocked out by Morocco in the last 32.

“It’s been a privilege to represent Manchester City over the past six years,” Ake said.

“I’m so grateful to have been part of such a special team.

“I’ve grown so much here, both as a player and as a person, and I’ll always be thankful for my time at the club.

“I’ll cherish the memories, especially winning the Treble, being part of four Premier League-winning teams, and lifting the Carabao Cup and FA Cup in my final season.

“Although I’m moving on, I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved together. City will always be special to me.”

Ake joined Manchester City from Bournemouth in 2020 for £40m and went on to make 177 appearances for the club.

His departure had been expected, with only one year left on his contract and limited opportunities during Pep Guardiola’s final season in charge.

Last season, Ake made just 17 starts in all competitions, including only six in the Premier League.
