Federico Chiesa has dismissed ongoing speculation surrounding his future, insisting his full focus remains on Liverpool as he looks to establish himself under new manager Andoni Iraola.
The Italy international, who scored in Liverpool's 4-2 pre-season victory over Sunderland on Saturday, says he is determined to earn a bigger role despite limited opportunities since joining the Reds from Juventus in a £12.5 million deal in 2024.
Chiesa has made 50 appearances across all competitions over the past two seasons but has started just one Premier League match, scoring five goals during that period.
Despite previously admitting he could consider a move if regular playing time did not materialize, the 28-year-old says Liverpool remains his priority.
"Right now, at the moment, I am happy here at Liverpool," Chiesa told reporters after the Sunderland match.
"I love the club, I love the fans, I love everything. I am doing the best I can to have a chance here, and then we will see.
"At the minute, the only thing I am thinking about is Liverpool."
Speaking in June, Chiesa had suggested he might need to reassess his future if his Premier League opportunities remained limited, but he now views the arrival of Iraola as the start of a new chapter.
Asked whether the change in management represented a fresh start, Chiesa admitted it was difficult to judge but welcomed the opportunity.
"It is always a fresh start at the beginning of the year," he said.
"Maybe there have been too many fresh starts, but I don't care. I am trying to do my best for this new manager."
Reflecting on last season under former boss Arne Slot, Chiesa said he believed he deserved a greater role but accepted the manager's decisions.
"Last year, I felt ready for a bigger role, then it depended on the coach whether he wanted me to play or not," he said.
"Of course I wanted to play more, but it is what it is. The gaffer had his game plans and took his decisions. I have nothing to say about that. It is football."
With Iraola now at the helm, Chiesa is focused on proving himself and earning more minutes as Liverpool prepare for the new campaign.
"This year, it is a new chapter," he added.
"There is a new manager and I have to focus on that."
