Bayern Munich, the German domestic double-winners, have ruled out the possibility of selling their French star Michael Olise during the current summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old Olise has attracted interest from several clubs this summer, most notably Real Madrid.
However, Christoph Freund, the Bavarian club's sporting director, put an end to the speculation, confirming there is no chance of parting ways with the French international. His comments followed a friendly match in which Bayern Munich lost 1–2 to third-division side Wiesbaden.
Speaking to the media after Saturday's friendly, Freund said: "Olise leaving is absolutely not an option; we look forward to having him back in the squad once his vacation ends."
He added: "Olise will be a key player for us in the new season, just as he was last season."
For its part, the French outlet *Foot Mercato* noted that the Bayern Munich sporting director's comments would likely dash Real Madrid's hopes, prompting the club's officials to shift their focus toward securing a deal for Ivorian winger Yann Diomandé.
Olise shone during his debut World Cup appearance with France, helping the team secure fourth place. He also set the record for the most assists in a single World Cup tournament with seven, surpassing the late legend Pelé, who won the World Cup three times with Brazil.
The French international winger joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2024 from Crystal Palace; his contract with the German giants runs for three seasons, expiring in 2029.
