Liverpool Close in on Barcola as PSG Hold Firm, Real Madrid Reject Vinicius Exit

Paris St-Germain forward Bradley Barcola has verbally agreed to join Liverpool, although a deal remains far from complete as the two clubs remain significantly apart in their valuation of the France international.

Barcola's potential move to Anfield could prompt the Ligue 1 champions to accelerate their pursuit of RB Leipzig's highly-rated 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande, who is also a target for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have no intention of selling Brazil star Vinicius Jr. The 26-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract, but the Spanish giants remain confident he will sign a new long-term extension.

Newcastle United have dismissed reports linking captain Bruno Guimaraes with Arsenal, insisting no talks have taken place over the 28-year-old Brazil midfielder. The Magpies also expect Guimaraes to report for pre-season training on Friday.

Bayern Munich have ruled out selling Colombia forward Luis Diaz despite interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. The 29-year-old has also informed the Bundesliga champions of his desire to remain at the club.

Everton are expected to demand around £70 million for Senegal winger Iliman Ndiaye, with both Manchester United and Al-Hilal monitoring the 26-year-old.

Manchester United are open to allowing Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee to leave Old Trafford and are currently in discussions with Juventus over a deal for the 25-year-old.

Nottingham Forest are closing in on the signing of Sporting defender Ousmane Diomande, with a deal worth €40 million (£34 million) for the 22-year-old Ivory Coast centre-back nearing completion.

Coventry City have agreed a club-record deal worth an initial £22.5 million to sign English goalkeeper Carl Rushworth, 25, from Brighton.

Former Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu is training with Crystal Palace after leaving Ajax this summer. However, no formal discussions have taken place over a move for the 27-year-old Japan international.

Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips is on the verge of joining Championship side Sheffield United on loan after being omitted from City's squad for their pre-season tour.
