Manchester City and PUMA have officially unveiled the club's 2026/27 away kit, a bold new design inspired by one of Manchester's most iconic symbols, the worker bee. The new strip will make its on-pitch debut when City face Inter Milan on 1 August.
Featuring a striking black and yellow colour scheme, the jersey is finished with a swarm of worker bees, paying tribute to the symbol that has long represented the city's identity, resilience and unity.
The worker bee has been synonymous with Manchester for generations, symbolising the city's hardworking spirit and strong sense of community. The 2026/27 away kit places that heritage at the heart of its design, celebrating both the passion of City's travelling supporters and the culture of the city itself.
Whether born in Manchester or supporting the club from around the world, the bee serves as a symbol of belonging and shared identity.
Manchester City Council's Councillor Shazia Butt welcomed the collaboration, highlighting the importance of preserving the symbol's heritage.
"The worker bee is one of Manchester's most enduring and recognisable symbols and represents the values that have shaped our city for generations: hard work, resilience, community, and pride."
She added:
"We've worked closely with Manchester City Football Club and PUMA to ensure its use on the 2026/27 Away Kit is both authentic and respectful of its significance. Seeing the bee showcased to a global audience through one of Manchester's most recognised institutions is a fitting celebration of our city, our people and the spirit that continues to define Manchester today."
