Bournemouth are on the verge of completing the signing of Sevilla right-back Juanlu in a deal worth up to £11.1 million as manager Marco Rose continues to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season.
The 22-year-old Spaniard is set to join the Cherries for an initial fee of £9.4 million, with a further £1.7 million in performance-related add-ons.
He is expected to sign a long-term contract at the Vitality Stadium.
Known for his attacking style and physical presence, Juanlu arrives with valuable first-team experience despite his age and has represented Spain extensively at youth international level.
His arrival will mark Bournemouth's third signing of the summer transfer window following the acquisitions of centre-back Antonio Silva from Benfica and striker Alvaro Rodriguez from Elche, both of whom joined for £25.7 million.
With the squad largely assembled, Rose is now believed to be targeting only one more addition - a deputy goalkeeper capable of competing with first-choice Djordje Petrovic - as Bournemouth prepare for their historic debut campaign in the UEFA Europa League.
Meanwhile, Sevilla have expressed interest in Bournemouth striker Enes Unal.
The Premier League side are open to selling the Turkey international, although he is also attracting attention from clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
Despite ongoing transfer speculation, Bournemouth remain determined to keep hold of highly-rated youngsters Eli Junior Kroupi, Rayan and Alex Scott, with senior club sources indicating that none of the trio are available for transfer this summer.
