Manchester United have no intention of selling captain Bruno Fernandes and will reject any offer for the Portugal midfielder before next month's transfer deadline.
Fernandes has attracted interest from Galatasaray, Juventus and AC Milan, with all three clubs reportedly considering whether to test United's determination to keep the 31-year-old at Old Trafford.
Galatasaray are believed to have been preparing a proposal that could have reached 50m euros (£42.7m). However, senior sources at Manchester United have made it clear that any approach would be unsuccessful.
United's position represents a significant change from last summer, when the club allowed Fernandes to decide whether he wanted to accept a lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Fernandes ultimately remained at Old Trafford but later admitted he felt "hurt" by the club's stance.
This time, United have left no room for uncertainty.
Club sources say no formal bids have yet been received for Fernandes and insist the midfielder is not for sale at any price.
Fernandes has one year remaining on his current Manchester United contract, which also includes an option for an additional season.
The Portugal international is understood to prefer staying at Old Trafford, although there has yet to be an agreement over a contract extension.
A £57m release clause in his contract has now expired, strengthening United's position in any potential transfer negotiations.
The midfielder's popularity among supporters was also evident during last week's pre-season meeting with Leeds United in Dublin, where Fernandes received an enthusiastic reception.
United are aware that supporters would likely react strongly to his departure, particularly if there was any suggestion the club had not done everything possible to retain one of their most influential players.
Fernandes underlined his importance to Manchester United last season by registering a Premier League-record 21 assists.
His performances have also made him the favourite to win the 2025-26 PFA Player of the Year award, which will be announced in Manchester next week.
With the transfer deadline approaching and interest building across Europe, United's position is clear: Fernandes remains a central part of their plans and any attempt to sign their captain will be rejected.
