A third Real Madrid player joins Arbeloa at Fulham

2 September 2026

Real Madrid announced that they have reached an agreement with English club Fulham for the transfer of young midfielder Manuel Ángel to the London club during the current summer transfer window. Fulham's signing of Ángel came at the direct request of their Spanish manager, Álvaro Arbeloa, the former Real Madrid star and their manager until the end of last season before taking over in England.

This makes Ángel the third player to join Arbeloa's squad from Real Madrid this summer, following Gonzalo García and César Palacios.

Manuel Ángel joined Real Madrid's academy in 2018 at the age of 14, progressing through their youth ranks over eight seasons.

The player had a distinguished career with the youth teams, culminating in the Spanish King's Cup Youth title in 2022, then the historic treble (league, King's Cup and UEFA Youth League) with the under-19 team in the 2022-2023 season, before making his first appearance with the first team of the Royal Club this year.
