Kane’s 150th Bayern Goal Seals Victory

Harry Kane scored his 150th goal for Bayern Munich as the German champions secured a narrow victory over Bundesliga newcomers Elversberg.

Bayern opened the scoring in the 26th minute when Ismael Saibari’s low cross deflected off Kane and fell kindly to Lennart Karl, who converted at the back post.

Elversberg, who have already defeated Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach during their debut Bundesliga campaign, equalised in the 61st minute.

Maurice Krattenmacher produced a superb curling strike from the edge of the penalty area that found the top corner.

Kane eventually restored Bayern’s lead, collecting the ball inside the box before firing a powerful shot past goalkeeper Nicolas Kristof at his near post.

The winner was Kane’s 99th Bundesliga goal in only 97 appearances and his first league strike of the 2026-27 season.

It was also his 150th goal in 153 matches across all competitions for Bayern since joining from Tottenham in August 2023.

The 33-year-old is among the leading contenders for the 2026 Ballon d’Or, which will be awarded in London in October.

Since the beginning of the 2023-24 season, Kane has scored 10 more goals than any other player across Europe’s five major leagues, averaging one every 79 minutes.

He reached 50 Bundesliga goals in a record 43 appearances and is also on course to become the fastest player to reach 100.

Dieter Müller currently holds that record after achieving the milestone in his 129th match.

Bayern sit fourth in the Bundesliga after two victories and a draw, while Elversberg are sixth.
