Suzu Amano struck in the 87th minute as Birmingham City came from behind to draw 3-3 with Crystal Palace in a six-goal Women’s Super League contest.
Birmingham led after just 40 seconds. Lee Geum-Min intercepted a poor pass from Allyson Swaby and released Oceane Hurtre, who curled a shot into the top corner with the outside of her boot.
Palace, looking to respond to a 7-0 defeat by Tottenham the previous weekend, equalised on the half-hour when goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley misjudged Shanade Hopcroft’s long free-kick and let it bounce over her head.
Hurtre restored Birmingham’s lead three minutes later, holding off Jamie-Lee Napier before finishing from a tight angle.
Palace fought back again. Baggaley tipped Sierra Enge’s chip onto the bar, but Bethany England reacted first to turn in the rebound.
Lexi Lloyd-Smith then put the visitors ahead after Marie Levasseur slipped, winning the ball on the left before cutting inside to score.
Birmingham rescued a point when Amano swept home from inside the box following a counter-attack.
They remain winless after four matches and sit third from bottom with two points, while Palace are eighth.
