The Brazilian national team defeated hosts Australia 4–2 in a friendly match held on Tuesday as part of both teams' preparations for upcoming international fixtures.
The first half ended 2–2; Brazil opened the scoring through Vanderson in the third minute, before Alessandro Circati equalized for Australia in the 28th minute. Connor Metcalfe then put Australia ahead in the 33rd minute, but Raphinha leveled the score for Brazil with a penalty in the final minute of the half.
Raphinha was forced to leave the match at the start of the second half due to muscle pain.
In the second half, Brazil scored two goals through Bruno Guimarães in the 69th minute and Vinícius Júnior—via a penalty—in the 89th minute.
This was the second encounter between the two teams, following a 1–1 draw last Friday.
It marked Brazil's second match since their disappointing 2026 World Cup campaign, where they were eliminated in the Round of 16 after a 1–2 loss to Norway.
The match was part of Australia's preparations for the Asian Cup, hosted by Saudi Arabia early next year; the draw placed them in Group D alongside Iraq, Singapore, and Tajikistan.
