Three years or two?
Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer confirmed that negotiations regarding the contract extension for English striker Harry Kane are progressing positively, expressing optimism about reaching an agreement soon and downplaying reports of disagreements over the length of the new contract.
"I'm very optimistic," Hainer told French newspapers. "I know from Jan Dreesen and the board that the negotiations are going excellently, and Harry and his family are very happy in Munich. Therefore, I expect an agreement soon."
The Bayern president denied any disagreement over the contract length, despite reports suggesting Kane wants a three-year extension, while Bayern is offering only two.
"No, not at all," Hainer explained. "It's a matter of several details, such as image rights and personal rights, and we will work them out. The issue isn't the contract length."
