Playmaking and Wing Positions
Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech has received praise from his coach, Tite, who sees his technical abilities and versatility in attack as a key asset for strengthening Botafogo's tactical options, particularly in the playmaker role.
In media statements, Tite explained that Ziyech possesses the necessary qualities to play in the number 10 position, thanks to his ability to move between the lines and exploit space, in addition to his versatility on the wings.
The Brazilian coach revealed that Ziyech received more playing time than initially planned, given the team's need for his technical abilities. He emphasized that Ziyech's versatility provides the coaching staff with multiple options in the formation and distribution of attacking roles.
Tite pointed out that Medina can play in a different playmaker role than Ziyech, while Montoro is temporarily out due to an ankle injury. He also explained that Danilo Pereira excels at advancing the ball vertically and linking play with the forwards, giving the team additional solutions in building attacks.
This praise comes after Ziyech's participation in his first two matches wearing the Botafogo jersey, where his performance received a positive reaction from the fans, who expressed their admiration for his potential, indicating a promising start for the Moroccan star with his new team.
