Meanwhile, Inter Miami has slipped to third place in the Eastern Conference, following New England’s 3-2 victory over the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday—a result that moved the Revolution up to second place.
That win brought New England’s total to 58 points, two points ahead of third-placed Inter Miami, while Nashville currently leads the standings with 71 points.
This coming Sunday has now become a decisive day for Inter Miami; Lionel Messi’s side will travel to face the New England Revolution.
